About Sarah

I am a Philadelphia native who grew up in South West Philadelphia. I come from a working class family who is proudly from a gritty town. Going off to college was not a path that was groomed for me. In response, I had to configure a plan of how I would become a competent therapist. So, I did what I had to do and joined the United States Navy after high school. The Navy provided me with a rubric for life. The harder you work and the more well rounded the more likely the advancement to the next rank. I am grateful I served in the Navy it taught me to work for the next step in life.

After my time in the service, I enrolled in College and was so excited to begin my academic career. I have always been pulled towards deep conversations about all the things that matter the most in life. Naturally when I started school I was fascinated and excited for my psychology, social work and anthropology classes. Over time it was undeniable that I was going to work to become the most competent mental health professional that I could possibly become. My college path was long and I worked full time while I obtained my degrees but that path was well worth the work.

I share this path with you because I studied, worked and put all my chips in the middle to obtain the best education possible. My foundation is in my education but my skill set has been earned in session with my clients. I am passionate about holistic health and living the best life we can possibly live. Wealth is not just our bank balance but more importantly the way you live your life.

My drive to become a competent therapist was fueled by my working class family. Now, my drive comes from witnessing people change their lives to live it they way they dreamed of living it. Watching someone change small things and tweak their habits or develop new responses to the same old argument is pure fuel to my fire. It takes courage to change but as they say nothing changes if nothing changes.

If you feel like you’re in a dark place and don’t know the way out - I want you to know that I know the way out. Not only do I know the way out but I will make sure that you know I am with in there with you. We will find the way out together and then in the future you will know how to get through challenging times. Therapy is about change. It’s about learning how to change your routine, change the ways you respond and finding out who you are under the fear so that you can thrive instead of just surviving.
